This week in class we talked about a variety of programs we can use for this class, as well as in our classes in the future. This week centered pretty heavily around the whole aspect of learning new technology for me, and I thought I would talk about some of the technologies I use already that are along the lines of the ones we discussed this week.

I’ve been using Photoshop for some time, having gotten my hands on a copy through my dad, and normally when people think of people using Photoshop, they probably think of people editing their own photos or even making something out of this world like this picture:

I’ve mostly used Photoshop to create gifs in my experience, but also to edit photos for my friends. Being able to do something like this seems trivial, but for a music teacher it’s likely invaluable. I have the ability to create event posters for any concerts or other events that are put on by my program, or even to connect with other teachers by offering these skills to their own events as well. Here’s something I did for a friend’s website.

Another software that I use already that I have built into my Samsung Tab S6 is the screen record feature, which is similar to the Techsmith Capture that was shown in class. I use this for recording my art, but during a time like this one I imagine it could be quite valuable for teachers to record notes to go along with their lessons.
